Our yurts are made in Cumbria by the Lakeland Yurt Company and use entirely timber grown in local sustainably managed woodlands. The roof poles are curved to allow for standing headroom throughout the yurt. The canvas covering colour has been chosen to blend in with its surroundings. The yurts are on raised wooden platforms for insulation and to keep dry and mud free. In equipping the yurts we have gone for comfort and cosiness in an old world style. This isn’t camping as you know it; we do not believe that outdoor living has to be a contest with the elements. We feel we can love and respect nature whilst enjoying simple comforts.
  
You will sleep on an old fashioned bedstead with soft, warm duvets and blankets. There are comfortable sitting areas with warm rugs underfoot and the glow of a wood burner if it gets a little chillier in the evening. See tariff here.
